Samsung Launches the Galaxy Z Fold 2 with Bigger Screen, Better Cameras

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Fold 2, the company’s latest foldable device with 5G support at an online event.

The new Galaxy Z Fold2 features a 7.6-inch edge-to-edge, nearly bezel-less Infinity-O Display, which will likely come with 120Hz refresh rate and has a 6.2-inch Infinity-O cover display.

It has a punch-hole camera for the inside and the cover display and there are triple rear cameras on the outside. It uses the same Samsung Ultra Thin Glass that was used in the previous fold model.

The phone is thinner overall (it’s 6mm thick) and has a thinner gap between the displays, making it easier to fit into your pocket. Samsung says that it’s re-engineered the hinge, too, for greater durability.

The phone is powered by Snapdragon 865+ chipset, and it comes with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM plus 256 GB storage. The phone features 5G connectivity, both sub-6 GHz and mmWave. The company did not reveal any other specifications.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 will be available for pre-order on September 1 with more details on pricing and availability to follow.
